AK Starfish Co.

So, on with the yearly tradition. Another year of matching shirts from one of our favorite companies. www.akstarfish.com
It started back in 2008 after we all got our own shirts in previous years that my mom thought we should all have the same ones and go on an outing together to show them off. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who thinks this is silly and I always try to offset my outfit only to be scolded by the other women of my family. I will tell you that when we went to Kaladi Brothers and then the Middleway Cafe' people stared at us and asked as we walked by, "Are they all wearing the same thing?" My sister laughed at me since I did not find it all that funny. Now it's just the running joke. This year our debut was the Downtown Saturday Market. I was cold and had a coat on and was promptly told to "take it off, the sun is shining."
Here we go, bright pink AK Wildflower shirts for 2011.
2008
The summer Jenna got married. Here's my mom, me, Jenna and Renee.  I'm not going to lie, I think the fact that it was Jenna's wedding means that we were all about 8lbs lighter than we are now and I only had 2 kids here, Renee 1. Good pic ladies. Maybe someday we can all be that tan and skinny again. On the other hand, hips don't shrink. HA!

2009
Aunt Carol joined in the fun. Renee and I are pregnant with Emerson and John. Not only do the shirts still cover our bellies, they are the really cute new Wildflower design. We decided on alternating colors. Mom likes them all to match better. Guess we won't do that again. We went to Bear Tooth for a movie in these shirts.

2010
At the Arctic Playground with the kids. This year, Renee and Jenna participated in the "bangs" trend. Jenna is pregnant with MacKenzie. Why am I so pasty? Back to matching, and back to Starfish.

2011
At the Starfish booth. My mom wanted something bright and jewel-toned. This is what I found on my quest :). Long sleeves again too. I am also wearing the same hat I had on in 2009. No one is preggo, Renee is training for a 1/2 marathon, Jenna did a good job losing baby weight, and like I said about the my hips, there they are. Mom and Aunt Carol always look nice :)
I wonder what next year will bring...
